Working in ONA brings a range of employee benefits not available in many other agencies.  ONA's salary rates are very competitive and many staff enjoy the opportunity ONA gives them for overseas travel.  ONA employees also benefit from a generous study assistance program and a range of allowances including an AIC Community Allowance and language allowances for linguists.

The Office of National Assessments Enterprise Agreement 2011-2014 sets out the terms and conditions for APS staff employed with ONA. The content of the agreement was negotiated by ONA, ONA staff and the Community and Public Sector Union. On approval by Fair Work Australia, the agreement came into effect 18 June 2010.
